Born in Spain and having lived in Switzerland and Canada, award-winning singer/songwriter, multi-award winning painter and illustrator Laura Fernandez brings a culturally diverse flavour to all her compositions. A classically-trained pianist, her style is a blend of classical, jazz, pop, latin and world music with intimate and heartfelt lyrics.

Laura is the host of "Cafe Latino" on JazzFM, Canada's premiere jazz radio station. She will be releasing her first all-Spanish album in 2009 and an English language recording in 2010. She will be designing and painting the art for her upcoming albums, entwining her significant dual talents.
