Darrel Delaronde is a Métis born in the northern forests of Saskatchewan - son of a farmer and saw-miller. He grew up into hard labour in a harsh climate. Darrel began his musical journey on the rough wood stages of small country halls, playing guitar in any band that would have him - from old-time fiddle to rock and roll. After moving to British Columbia, he spent his life on the road, performing at every possible venue, surviving the rigors of bar-rooms, truckstops, and cheap hotels. His songs are collections of stories about ordinary people, their lives, their jobs and their dreams in a straight-up country style with great guitar chops.

The five songs in the first player are available in two distinct and different versions. The first ones are digital recordings featuring a brighter sound and arrangements. The second ones are analog recordings and have a warmer, more mellow feel.
