Bill Colgate has turned his many talents to songwriting, first for children's theatre and then to songs that range from the irreverently witty to the deeply heartfelt. He is also an actor with experience in film, television and theatre, and often appearing with actors of note such as Tommy Lee Jones, Kiefer Sutherland, Sarah Polley, Jennifer Jason Leigh and many others.

Bill Colgate's talented songwriting has earned him, among others, the 2nd Grand Prize Overall, USA Songwriting Competition in 2002 as well as 1st Place Gospel in the same year, and an award at the influential John Lennon Songwriting Contest. All of Bill's catalogue is high quality as well as highly entertaining.
